2023 Outreach Ministries Report

The following are Outreach & Discipleship ministries FGT is actively involved in:

  • You can surely tell the enemy is at work in our world.  We used to have weekly ministries at Walter Reuther and Oakdale Recovery Center.  Since covid, they have not reopened their doors to us, and won’t let anyone from FGT come in to minister.  Please keep that in your prayers.
  • We do however, have a weekly ministry at a nursing home in Canton.  Averaging 10-17 in attendance.  Many times senior citizens are placed in facilities, then forgotten by family.  So to visit, and minister is so much appreciated.  If you would like to participate in the nursing home ministry, see Philip Ogbuaku.
  • We also do hospital visitations.  If you are in the hospital, give the church a call.
  • Rev. Chris Kokenos is the minister over NCIC (New Creations in Christ) our substance abuse ministry.  NCIC meets weekly for care group on thursday and then on Friday at the church for service.  30-40 watch the service online.  2 people are attending services as a result of participation in NCIC.
  • FGT provided stamped tracts for your use with our address & phone number.  Tracts are an easy way to share the Word of God with the lost.  FGT provides them for you for free of charge, & hope you will avail yourselves of this ministry tool.  The track rack is in the vestibule.
  • In 2023 YOMO, our 50+ group, continued to meet monthly.  If your 50 or your spouse is, we would like to invite you to join us.  We meet the 4th Sat. of each month in The Loft @12nn.  We always hear a good Word, have awesome fellowship, prayer & delicious food.  We also have a YOMO FB page.  Join the FB group for up to date information, to ask questions, share a prayer request or testimony, or just something awesome God has shown you.
  • This past year, I continued with the monthly discipleship group for Veterans.  We currently have approximately 10 men that attend regularly.  We are currently studying a challenging book called “Holiness, Truth, and the Presence of God”.  Also, 2x a year I take a goup of men up north, for a foray.  Where God shows us spiritual applications from our natural surroundings.  Every time we’ve gone, God has met us in a powerful way, & if you ask each person that went, thier lives are changed as a result of this time with God & each other.
  • Due to your continued financial support, the mission dept, was able to purchase a wireless microphone system for the drama dept.
  • In closing, I would like to thank the many men & women involved in the Outreach ministries of FGT.  Without all of us working together, we would be unable to reach our Jerusalem.

Respectfully Submitted

Pastor Don Nemeth
